KNIGHTS LOOK FOR HISTORY IN 2005 CHAMPIONSHIPS

The Marian College Knights Cycling team will participate in the 2005 Collegiate Track Cycling Nationals. The event will be hosted by the Northbrook Velodrome in Northbrook, Illinois. Competition will begin on Thursday morning September 30, and will conclude on Saturday night, October 1. Northbrook was the Velodrome that Marian College won its first National Collegiate Track Cycling Championship ten seasons ago in 1995. Coming of a Bronze medal performance in 2004, this year’s team hopes to repeat the performance that won the Championship ten years ago and seven more since.

Top challengers for the team title this year are last year’s champions, Penn State. Indiana University and University of Colorado / Boulder will also be strong challengers for the team title.
